Once you find the wine, please go ahead and place an order. They don't ship to Japan? We know! You can have your very own alternate California shipping address with us. Yay!

Please remember to report your shopping every time you place an order. Sometimes the shipper doesn't do the right job and your order could get lost without your report. Just forward us the order confirmation e-mail. That'll work.

Your wine is inspected as it is received. Unless otherwise requested, we immediately measure the package and send you the payment instructions. We ship your wine upon your confirmed payment. We send you the tracking number when the wine has been shipped.

Your wine is air-shipped and usually delivered in 3 to 4 days, depending on the backlog of Japan's custom office. Please pay the duties and other taxes to the driver. If this is a gift for someone else, we can arrange a prepay for you. Please ask. Cheers!

You will be paying (1) Freight; (2) Fuel Surcharge; and (3) Duties.

Our freight is weight-based, and the fee schedule can be found below.

They really vary. But here are some samples from our recent shipments (750ml standard bottles). Sorry, but it's not guaranteed. We have to charge on the actual weight.

The fuel surcharge is currently 12.5% of the freight. It changes time to time based on the U.S. GULF COAST (USGC) prices for Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel reported by the U.S. Department of Energy. The monthly average from the period two months prior is used by our forwarder to calculate the applicable fuel surcharge percentage. Please visit their web site for details.

Duties are collected upon delivery unless other prior arrangement is made. They are not included in the freight. Please see the Duties for more details.

We reuse shipping material as much as possible to save the environment. However, it is sometimes necessary to replace the original shipping material with a new one for safer transportation. We have to charge you $11 to cover the cost when that happens.

We usually ship your wine after your confirmed payment. But we can also do COD (Collect on Delivery) on a per-request basis. We charge $5 per delivery for all COD shipping to cover the cost of the associated paperwork.

Standard shipping insurance ($1,000 coverage) is included in all shipping. If you need an umbrella, please request.

Long-term storage is a pay service.

Your wine undergoes the custom clearance in a tempature controled bonded storage with this option. Thereafter, they are delivered using the Cool Takkyubin (reefer) service.

You received an order from Japan? Great! You don't know what to do to get your wine delivered right there? No problem! You've already reached the right place!

I'll second David's recommendation of SHIP2U. They do a lot of CA wine and for small lots they're the way to go. A case will set you back around $120ish air-freighted.
